I’ve had many Jap IL4′s such as the R1, GSXR1000 and ZX10R, now I’ve gone back to a RSV1000R. It’s not all about text book BHP figures, it’s how the power is delivered in the real world. I find the aprilia will get from a – b quicker and with a bigger smile on my face than any of my previous Jap bikes once you get used to the V twin.

Yes, thats true. verry bad commercial. Take a ducati 999 or 1098 for instance. They would rape the RSV on and off track.

The RSV is ten years old so of course a Jap multi should be faster. Doesn’t matter, an Italian twin is way cooler in every way. All you multi guys don’t really ride anyway you just read mags!

whats faster than an aprilia RSV?, just about every rival superbike on the market.
the RSV is a great bike, but it lacks horsepower and is very heavy compared to competition.

At the wheel figures. an aprilia will be beat a 600 they have more torque and more hp over 120 at the rear, most 600′s make 110 at the rear. Im not biased as I have a zx6r, its just how it is, besides i would swap it for an rsv any day of the week
